Islington - passing on a specified side of the road
« on: »
Hi all

The PCN below was received for passing on the wrong side of a road.

GSV of the exact location:

This is the PCN:

The driver thinks the signage was barely visible and is unclear.

Are there any grounds for appeal please?

The video is shot head on so we can't see the signage from the driver's point of view.

Here's how it looks on street view - which definitely looks clear. Not sure how old the Google images are, but are the two keep left signs no longer present?

We've seen this location before and most of these proxy width restrictions have little chance of challenge.

There may though be something with Islington's website representation presentation.

There's a single round blue keep left sign, and the bollard. The GSV is from 2025, so is accurate.

I may just appeal stating the driver rarely drives in London and made a genuine mistake (which is all 100% true), expecting a rejection but you never know.
