Hi all,

From a bit or research I have a feeling a lot of people have been stung by this particular street in Romford. I have gotten two for two 'offences' in one day. The location on the pcn is so vague and unfindable on maps. I can barely even tell what the pcn is for. Anyway, any and all help appreciated.

Sure we've seen this location before.  Camera is here:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/YaDY4k9AZ3XM4f2a8

Restriction signs are a bit further south:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/XgPUrskjN3cUX8ne6

Where did you approach from?

Havering don't re-offer the discount after appeal, but then it's no brainer to go to tribunal.  Have a search of the site for previous cases - it might be that there's an argument for video not showing any signs passed, but that would need to be at tribunal stage.

@Hiram You know what the angles are to win this: PCN wording; website and eventually a mess up in the process.

I am happy to assist BUT you must do the work please.

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.

@RichardW thank you for your response. I approached from the south per the pictures you sent. The video doesn't show me passing any signs but I guess the assumption is that if I'm under that bridge I must have. But as far as I recall the signage is pretty inadequate and only tells you once you're already approaching the zone they don't want you to go in to.

@Hippocrates yes happy to do the work - I just don't have the legal info in my vocabulary. I did try to look at previous incidents at this junction but couldn't find what someone eventually sent to the council

They have sorted out their PCN wording at least. But not the issue of premature charge certificates.  ::)

Appeal filed. They have handed you a Get Out of Jail Card.
