I have received a number of penalty charge notices with regards to this from the same road/location. A couple of weeks ago, I received one and it was difficult to figure out what I had done wrong, or where it happened. I assumed it was for something else (a traffic light that wasn't working and a number of cars drove through after waiting for ages). I paid the penalty and thought nothing of it. The date of the notice was 3rd of July.
Over the weekend, I have received two notices, both contraventions on the 14th of July. - at 4.08pm and again at 6.12pm. Rather than pay the £160 for both, I've now looked into the matter, I have driven down that road several times and was not aware it was now restricted - I did not see any signage, I am not local to the area - and I would like to contest the two notices I have been given. I don't believe I drove down that road twice on the same day, I only make that journey every other week or so.
I've not taken any action as of yet - but would appreciate any advice or support, it appears that some have appealed this successfully in the past - but not anyone recently.
