Hammersmith - Single Yellow Line
« on: »
Evening all, posting this on behalf of my father in law

Stupidly he parked on a single yellow line on a saturday before 6,30pm as family member thought weekend were fully free for single yellow

Not that it matters but back story is monther in law has been in hospital for the past 2 weeks getting a cancer tumour removed and people have been spending a lot of money to park in the hospital car park, i told them just park outside on the road if going after 6.30

IS there anything that can be done about this plz

Pics also attached

Thanks

The PCN is badly printed with many data fields seriously displaced, but whether that's enough to make it void, you'd only find out at London Tribunals. Time of alleged contravention is 16.19, so well inside the restricted time, that you say ends at 18.30.

Oh dear ! Never, ever, assume anything about parking in London, always look for the sign if you're parking on a single yellow line.

Frankly, I see nothing to refute the contravention itself, but that doesn't mean 'game over' as there may be a 'technical' appeal argument based on the council management of the enforcement process incl the content of the PCN. This would include bad printing of it, rendering it void.

So wait a bit to see what the others say, but don't miss any deadlines on the PCN.

I saw the misplaced printing but your right im not sure weather to appeal on that or any better basis

If anyone can think of anything else to actually say that would help, would be great

Hi guys, is there anything that can possibly be done about this, as the 14 days deadline to pay at reduced rate is coming close?

You probably have only a polite ask for discretion owing to being by hospital - but it's a single yellow with a template so have a look on Google Maps and see if the line is well signed along it's length especially if it's a long line - the CEO has snapped one sign.
