I got a ticket through the post stating that I performed a right turn when I wasn't suppose to. I was upset as I couldn't recall when this could have happened. When I finally got home, I went to check online hoping to request a video and was surprised to see a video already attached showing my alleged contravention. After watching the video I was even more surprised

As clearly shown on the video, I reversed into the side road and then turned left. I was on a the wrong side of the road when attempting this manoeuvre as I had parked on that side of the road previously. I never went past those signs as I never was on that road which means I never turned right (I hope I didn't anyway). I was very keen to write a simple but very blunt reply on my appeal telling them to please check your own evidence but I decided to come on here for further advice first

Looks like a wrong contravention to me, if they'd issued it for going through the no-entry signs at the entrance to the road you would have been in a spot of bother. But they didn't and it's too late now, so a simple challenge should see this off:

Dear London Borough of Hackney,

As the video clearly shows, I reversed into the Greenwood Road and then turned left. I never went past the no-right turn signs seen in the video and in any event, I never turned right.

It follows that the PCN must be cancelled.
