Hello all,

Got this PCN and I'm mad...I am hoping for some advice.

I was given a PCN with the code '02
Parked or loading/unloading in a restricted street where waiting and loading/unloading restrictions are in force.
Ticket number TT58430934

I was working at Sainsburys store (engineering job), didn't load or unload anything, not even my tool bag. I paid another £20 before that, to another close location(when I moved my tool bag), as I didn't know there is parking just on the street. I paid £40 in total, and then got this PCN. Signage was confusing to me but now I can see that parking is forbidden at times I've been there for the PCN.

The problem is that RingGo app accepted payment(£20), not showing anything wrong about it. I remember from previous experience that at times when parking is not allowed, RingGo didn't accept payments.

I parked there at 17:08, one minute to get location code and pay Ringgo, so my start time is 17:09, paid for 2 hours, overlapping with free time(starting at 19:00). My ticket time is from 17:52, so in time I have paid for.

Is it possible that this is mistake of the warden, the council or Ringgo ? Also on the website of the council

https://www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/parking when I go to pay and to see evidence, there is no pictures, and location of the event is far away<br><br>

Here is the actual location of the event https://maps.app.goo.gl/XbLPmhqqZv2U6oFH6, I have parked just in front of the store, designated loading bay is further down the street.

Thank you all.

Please post a GSV link to the location where you parked, telling us exactly where you parked. Is it possible that you used the wrong app, (Ringo), and should have used another one. We have seen identical numbers used by two parking apps that are for different locations.

Thank you for your response.

GSV of location is here  https://maps.app.goo.gl/XbLPmhqqZv2U6oFH6

Exact spot is marked below, and designated loading bay is about 4-5 spots on the right. No other markings besides signage.

It must be RingGo app as the app location(street name) matches with the one I have parked at. I am quite strict with this, double checking every time as I hate giving money for PCNs. I was and still am confused with signage. Do you think if it's not allowed, the app would allow me to pay?
Thanks

The signs are clear the there was a no waiting restriction with no loading when you started the session. But you're right that you shouldn't have been able to pay to park there at that time.

It's well worth a challenge.

Thank you.

Should I start the challenge now, or should I wait and expect specific suggestion how to do it? The rules say that comprehensive response from a senior expert is to be expected in 7-10 days.

RingGo responded today, that they can't help, and only can provide letter saying I paid. I think I should get my RingGo payment as a refund at least
