Also, is it better to attend in person or it doesn't really matter?

Personal - never, ever, a decision on papers.

BUT personal hearings are now taking place by 'phone or by video link.

@norbertg I will drop you a PM now.

Do I just produce same reasoning to the court, because the judge will be of more sound mind or do I actually need a solicitor now?

No as I have just offered for free. ;D I have 3 pending with them on the issue of the PCN.

The focus on the other car suggests the operator thinks the no entry is facing the other way...

The correct contravention should a vehicle be coming in the other direction is 'Failing to drive in the direction shown by the arrow on a blue sign' as that's the sign that in that part of the road, not a no entry sign.

The amount outstanding on the Penalty Charge Notice will increase to £130.00 on Thu, 13 Mar 2025. Please pay £65.00 now.

You have already made representations for this PCN and we replied on Wed, 19 Feb 2025. You cannot make representations twice

Please screenshot this. The underlined dates are wrong.

cf. Lambeth re same issue so far:

Indeed, this council is one of three with the same issue.

I would like to respond and thank Philip.

He has offered his help to represent me. He voluntarily jumped on a lot of calls with me and had taken care of the legal side of going to Tribunal.

They must've noticed his name on the case just got scared, so they cancelled it :D.

This was definitely stressful to go through for me and I am glad there are people who have our, common people's back.

I am sure with this push back council's will stop taking the **** one day.

Thank you again.

Don't hold your breath waiting ! The biggest problem in the whole shebang of PCNs and their enforcement is that 95% of people just cough-up when they get the PCN. So councils can stand a few cases going against them, as the money just keeps rolling in, and in, and in.

I would make a complaint about this one. It was bad enough issuing a nonsensical PCN but not looking at it properly at reps stage is not on.
