Newham Council. Parking fine, blacked out sign in evidence
« on: »
Got a ticket. I did know the rules given it's my local area, but I know that it cannot be enforced unless proper signage. I wanted to see if they still give a ticket.
I'm 95% sure I win this at London Tribunals, but I am more interested in knowing if there's a way to stick it to the council since they're often pulling this type of nonsense.

The audacity to post the signage as evidence is bewildering.

In addition the specific contravention code is: 30.
Parked longer than allowed.
I want to send them a link to the evidence in the informal appeal, but am more interested in seeing them held accountable for enforcing this than a "gotcha" moment

I sent the above evidence to the councillor and MP of Newham.

It's just that one sign in the bay so you have a good case.

But you have to be careful as presumably you do know what the sign should be. I think you don't.

Yeah, between us I did, but going to an adjudication I'm sure they'll overturn it.
I just more annoyed the officer thought it was enforceable
