Author Topic: CARDIFF - 32d Failing to drive in the direction shown by the arrow on a blue sign - St Mary Street Junc/with Mill Lane  (Read 552 times)

Driver was attempting to follow tourist road signage to Marriott Hotel - (access via Mill Lane). Believed to be compliant. Turning left off A4160 onto Bute Street, then right around Callaghan Sq, and onto Mill Lane where hotel access is permitted?

There is another related post where the alleged contravention is different but the circumstances remain the same and occurred at the same time (16:10) - attempting to reach the hotel via the tourist road signage.

From what I gather this is one of Cardiff's most notorious spots so this will hopefully be of use to future posters.

Any and all advice very much appreciated. Many thanks!

In part, but also brown signs that say 'Marriott Hotel,' directing traffic around callaghan square and then presumably into Mill Lane with the access sign you have posted.

What does the Marriott say about how to get to their hotel car park ? Unfortunately GSV is not sufficiently up-to-date for us to give definite advice.

Hi thanks for the reply.

The hotel website says:

"Hotel Access Information
Please use the postcode CF10 1FL or type Mill Lane into your Sat Nav system. This leads you to the front of the hotel and car park entrance. Please note cars are permitted to travel down Mill Lane for hotel access."

That's it.

And, needless to say, if your satnav is out-of-date, you'll be led past at least one restriction sign !
