Camden high street, Code 46 PCN NO: GX3202272
« on: »
Hey all,

Unfortunately I got stung by the TFL's cameras on the red route in camden as I went into a jobsite to retrieve a tool for no more than 2 minutes, it might have not even been that long to be honest. I really think it's unfair to be slapped with this big a fine, I should have read the signs but honestly, it was raining quite heavily and I just find it so unfair.

I think a lot of people have been stung here

hoping that there is a way to fight this,

Thanks all!

Well it's not really unfair, is it ? You chanced your arm and lost. What really is unfair IMHO are the levels of London PCN penalties, being about double the rest of the UK, and decided by politicians with an "agenda".
Red Routes are one of the few restriction types that allow councils to use CCTV to enforce; its not allowed on yellow lines. So always beware of stopping on red routes  unless you've read the sign.

Anyway, here is the location, I think. Please confirm.

The sign allows 30 mins parking Mon-Sat between 1-4pm. Overall No Stopping is 8am to 7pm, no restrictions outside that.  Your PCN is 30 mins before the afternoon parking period, so well outside it in enforcement terms.

It is possible there is a 'technical' appeal available based on TfL mismanagement of the enforcement process, but I'm no expert on these, so wait a bit to see what comes up. However don't miss any deadlines on the PCN or it's game over.
