Hi fellow group members,
I am writing to ask for advice on a recent PCN I received when taking my partner's elderly mother shopping.
The incident happened last Friday, 06th Feb at 10:53 am.
I had parked my car in a car park space on Caversham Road off Kentish Town Road. I had parked here to bring my passenger to the pharmacy to collect her prescriptions.
On arrival, I called the parking number advertised on the space (I have a copy of my call log screenshot) time was 10.18, but the automated service could not understand my accent, so I had to give up and then downloaded the Ringo App instead. (I have another screenshot which shows the sale and ticket purchase at 10.25.
Then I finally put all the details in and booked a parking space, and everything seemed ok! I realised something was wrong only afterwards when I saw a ticket on the windscreen, when I realised that there was a missing digit in the parking area code...I put 1375 instead of 13175. I have the receipt to prove this to park for one hour between 10.27 and 11.27.
The parking area code 1375? \turns out to be SouthSea 80 miles away?
I paid and believed that everything was in order until I got the parking ticket. Had the book by phone service worked, I would not have had to download the app, probably then this never would have happened.
Any help/advice will be really appreciated.
