Camden Council - Order for Recovery
« on: »
Hello all,

I am currently abroad and asked a friend to check my mail. They found an order for recovery for an unpaid PCN (which I wasn't aware of) from Camden Council. Now I know I am supposed to file a Statutory Declaration to say I never received the PCN but I am abroad and the 21 days are up on the 6th of June. I'll only be back in the UK on the 14th of June. What are my options here?

Many thanks for the help.

The form tells you what to do to get more time. I don't know if you can do it my email though. Hopefully you can.

You are missing PCN and a charge certificate, so two letters? Are the name and address on the order for recovery correct?

Thanks for the reply.

I can get someone to send a letter to TEC. Do you think I should email them also just to be safe? Do you know if the reason "I'm abroad" enough justification for them to give me an extension?

Yeah, the name and address are correct. This happened in a hire car so perhaps it got sent to hiring company instead?

First step is to get the OfR cancelled and the process revered so you get a PCN/NTO then we can do something

Just talking solely about the OfR and Stat Dec. >

The deadline you are working to, i.e. on the OfR. is probably incorrect.
Only TEC can tell you the true deadline --- so pick up the phone and find out. It will probablyput your mind at rest.
