Hi!
Thank you for running this forum.
PCN image at bottom of post.
Location on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/HbwE55okGCDDdER39

I am not used to driving round Bristol, relied on my SatNav which took me down this road.
I am Dyslexic and Dyspraxic - meaning it is pretty tricky for me to focus on absolutely everything, including signage (which - looking at Google Maps, is there).
I just focussed on getting around safely and in all honesty... I didn't know what a bus gate was until getting this notice.

Thank you in advance :)

Please post the remaining pages of the PCN. Your best ground of appeal would be if the PCN still has an 0870 premium rate telephone number.
I practice law in the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, London Tribunals, the First-tier tribunal for Scotland, and the Traffic Penalty Tribunal for Northern Ireland, but I am not a solicitor or a barrister. Notwithstanding this, I voluntarily apply the cab rank rule. I am a member of the Society of Professional McKenzie Friends, my membership number is FM193 and I abide by the SPMF service standards.

Hi,

Thank you for replying!

You're right - Automated Payment Service number is 0870 number.
What does this mean?

Best wishes,
Georgie

It means that Bristol get a small 'bung' from the phone company for everybody paying via the telephone number, thus getting more than the penalty defined in law. It makes the PCN a nullity.

I have sent the 2 PDFs off just now - will update with the outcome! Fingers crossed!

You are a star, thank you!

Just to set expectations, I would fully anticipate a rejection, and we'll have to appeal to the tribunal. That being said, Bristol are yet to contest a single tribunal case that I've been involved in.

Hi there,

I have finally heard back from Bristol City Council and as expected, my appeal has been declined.

Letter attached in imgur link.

Do I go to tribunal? If so, any advice?

Thank you again in advance!

Many thanks!

Absolute, total failure to consider. CP'S draft doesn't even mention signage....
Press on.

+1, I agree we've got them on a failure to consider.

Would you like me to represent you at the tribunal? If so, please do not file an appeal yourself.

Hello,
Thank you for your replies again.
I assume failure to consider references the fact they clearly did not read my original letter and sent me a standard response?

I would love for you to represent me if you are up for it?

Best wishes.

I'll drop you a PM.
