Hi,
I had a PCN from Brent Council on 26 Oct 2024. I appealed against the ticket and the notice of rejection was sent to me dated 20 Jan 2025 which reset the penalty to £65
However, we were on holiday in Dec 2024 and when we returned on 7 Jan 2025 our home had had a pipe burst and we were given temporary accommodation by the insurer while they progressed our claim and start the restoration work. We had been living in hotels and apartments since 7 JAn 2025. So we never received the notice when it was delivered.
Another Form TE9 which increased the fine to £205 to pay by 15/04/25. We did not receive this either.
I only received a Notice of Enforcement from Newlyn dated 6 May 2025 when I went to the house to check in May and the postman gave us a bundle of old post.
I emailed the council on 23 May 2025 explaining the situation and requesting to revert back to the original so I can pay off.
I received an email this morning dated 5 June 2025 (today is 15 June 2025) saying thats its with the enforcement agency and asking me to deal with them. In the interim the enforcemnent agency Newlyn visited my property on 11 June 2025 and left a letter asking for £515 else will remove my goods from my property. there is nothing ouside my property as we are not living there. What options do I have now. PLease help.
