Author Topic: Brent Council PCN (Code 27) - Can I challenge this? Wheels were on the raised br  (Read 33 times)

Hi everyone,

I just got a PCN from Brent Council in Kingsbury (NW9) for "Code 27: Parked adjacent to a dropped footway."

I’ve looked at the evidence photos, and while I’m parked near a driveway, my wheels are clearly next to the full-height kerb stones/bricks. Only my rear bumper is overhanging the dropped section.

I’ve heard that for a Code 27 to be valid, the wheels actually have to be adjacent to the lowered part of the kerb, and that "overhang" doesn't count.

The details:
• Location: Kingsbury, NW9 (Brent)
• Code: 27
• My argument: Wheels are on the raised kerb, not the dropped part.

Is this a "slam dunk" for a challenge, or am I grasping at straws here? Has anyone successfully fought Brent on this specific "wheel positioning" technicality?
Appreciate any advice before I submit my informal challenge!

Sorry, but wrong. The whole car must be clear of the dropped section.  Who told you this nonsense ?
