This is a really nice little earner for the council, and all legal too ! GSV is too out-of-date to show the NRT sign, but your photos show it is clear enough. I suppose when everybody in Barking and Dagenham has received a PCN here the revenue will dry up.

I have to say that I can't think of a strong appeal argument here, other than the YBJ markings may cause confusion. In fact, I think that argument has already been presented and the appellant lost.

Have you done a search on the London Tribunals case register yet to see what adjudicators have said ?

The TMO is The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (Banned Turn) (Reede Road) Experimental Order 2022, which has now expired but it was in force at the material time (since replaced by The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (Banned Turn) (Reede Road) Order 2023).

This might be one for the strategy of last resort, described here, but it's dependent on you having some meaningful mitigation and some relevant evidence to put to them.

Another issue is that at the tribunal, they might put the wrong traffic order in the evidence pack, we've seen this a lot recently when a PCN is issued close to the cut-over date.
I practice law in the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, London Tribunals, the First-tier tribunal for Scotland, and the Traffic Penalty Tribunal for Northern Ireland, but I am not a solicitor or a barrister. Notwithstanding this, I voluntarily apply the cab rank rule. I am a member of the Society of Professional McKenzie Friends, my membership number is FM193 and I abide by the SPMF service standards.

cp8759 is, indeed, a Wizard of the First Order
