SHEPHERDS BUSH, OFFSIDE, BUS LANE PCN
« on: »
Hello. I have PCN for Shepherd’s Bush southbound offside, pitch black, torrential rain. I don’t live in London, ordinarily never drive there. Lbhf refused appeal, advising I should have stopped to look at signs. Which I find a ridiculous suggestion.  I’ve seen a post regarding insufficient signage. Is this still the case?  I can’t afford this PCN, I’m panicking & worrying.  Appreciate any advice.  Photo provided is black, video quality is so poor, I can’t even see my car in darkness & rain

Well, first-off don't panic ! You're one of hundreds caught out here.  If you can't stand to lose the full PCN penalty at London Tribunals, then of course, paying the discount is your only option, but first I suggest you submit representations based on your text here. You never know, they may give way, and if they don't they'll re-offer the discount.

Do not pay this. I am only doing new cases involving bus lanes as this is my speciality. I will drop you a PM and it would be best to communicate with me privately via my email address.
I REGRET THAT, FOR THE PRESENT, I AM UNABLE TO TAKE ON ANY MORE CASES AS A REPRESENTATIVE AT THE LONDON TRIBUNALS. THIS IS FOR BOTH PERSONAL AND LEGAL REASONS. PLEASE DO NOT PM ME UNLESS YOU HAVE POSTED YOUR THREAD ON THE FORUM AND I WILL ATTEMPT TO GIVE ADVICE.

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.
