Alleged moving traffic contravention - no entry sign RBK

Hello

Re: PCN Alleged moving traffic contravention - no entry

I would be grateful for any advice, though appreciate it’s rather complicated and late in the day.

Long story short, u received a letter from the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames for an alleged moving traffic contravention - turning left into a no entry road.

I wasn’t the driver, my partner was (insured) but as the registered keeper I know I’m liable for the ticket.

I appealed to the council based essentially on poor signage (original appeal included). This was rejected. Unfortunately I didn’t reference points of law as I usually would, simply because it was rushed.

I have now appealed to London Tribunals (appeal included) and I have an in-person tribunal scheduled for tomorrow. I’m wondering if someone has any hints or tips at this late stage. I know I can’t submit further evidence, and I have won at tribunal before, but would be grateful for any advice at all.

The pack of documents I was sent prior to the tribunal is extensive - about 20 pages so haven’t included it all (can do if needed). But attached is the original letter I received and my appeal statements.

Thank you

I would think the advance sign for the junction mini-roundabout could be considered inadequate because it totally ignores the presence of the street on the left before the junction. The No Entry street should be shown with a "NO Entry" symbol on the sign. For me, the council have failed in their LATOR obligations: -

Thank you - that’s good to hear and very useful. It does appear as though the signage is both inadequate and confusing. Many thanks again!
