This is the one I was referring to…
“Quoted - There is no warning sign. On the approach to the turning there is a tree obscuring the view of the nearer pedestrian zone sign.
The issue of this appeal is whether the local signage is sufficiently adequate to warn motorists of the local restrictions. The issue was quite properly raised by the appellant and dealt with in their evidence by the local authority. Signage must be adequate and comply with the concept of fairness. Any sign should be clear, prominent and unambiguous.“
I was the one who won that case and yes I drove there and showed the evidence that there
- no advance warning to tell motorist
- the trees obscure the view and you can`t go back once you`ve already commited
- you have to look for other road users
Happy to drive there and provide you a footage as it is local to me.
