IntroHoping you guys can help- this is the first time that I have received a bus lane contravention (Leeds council). I am very aware on fighting against private fines via MSE but first time using this FTLA site so let me know if I am missing anything please.

ContextI was driving late at night back home and Google Maps told me to take the left lane to turn off the road. I pulled to the left and stopped at the light- turns out somehow this was a bus lane. I didn't cover any ground within the bus lane just simply pulled into the very last metre of it, waited at the light, then proceeded through and off the road. It was very late at night (almost midnight) and pitch black. I had already drove far past any bus lane signs prior to this. Looking at google maps (link below) the bus lane is marked in red paint but at night I had absolutely zero visibility of this (genuinely). This red paint also wears out towards the end of the bus lane and becomes normal road colour again, most likely why I didn't notice it. Also the "BUS LANE" writing on the road is totally unreadable even in broad daylight and worn out (see link below). I haven't attached the video as it's simply the exact same frame as the picture below with me waiting at the red light, then driving onwards after a 20 second wait. There is no video or image proof that I entered or drove down the bus lane earlier than the last few metres waiting at the traffic light (because that's the truth).
