There are, however, some gaps in the DYLs which allow parking, but at weekends or holidays, the location is a very popular country park with not enough parking for everybody: - Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps. This thread is basically due to possibly a new motorist not being totally familiar with what yellow lines mean. We do see this quite a lot on this forum, but mostly in London. Logged

I wasn't aware DYLs had any affect on verges, a costly lesson I guess.So for this one I just have to pay sooner rather than laterthanks allIf you post-up all sides of the PCN we'll check it for fatal errors of content that could win an appeal, but you have to take them to the Traffic Penalties Tribunal with the full PCN penalty in play.It may be worthwhile submitting informal representations saying you were not aware of the DYL restriction applying off the carriageway, and ask for forgiveness, but it's a long shot, because councils now see PCN penalties as a "nice little earner" for them.
