Hi there,

I would be grateful to receive guidance on how to deal with this PCN for stopping in a yellow box junction. We are not 100% how to initiate a representation and how detailed and legalese our representation needs to be.

It is not clear to us that the photographs supplied as evidence make the case that the driver entered the box junction and stopped in it because of the presence of a stationary vehicle on the other side of the box.

We wold gratefully receive guidance on how to phrase our representation. The due date for making a representation is 27 June 2024.

Here is a copy of the PCN

Here are the photos

I recommend submitting a Subject Access Request (SAR) via email, as this will typically put the ticket on hold for a month. You can find a draft for the email in my post. This process might give you additional time to gather any necessary information or documentation. I wish you the very best in getting this ticket cancelled. Thanks!

Thanks Incandescent. The Tfl call handler mentioned calling them after 14 days if the video evidence hadn't turned up by then. It's in my diary!!

You contact TFL.
@Incandescent!

I AM ABLE TO TAKE ON MORE CASES AS A REPRESENTATIVE AT THE LONDON TRIBUNALS. I HATE RETIREMENT.

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.

I practice law in the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, London Tribunals, the First-tier tribunal for Scotland, and the Traffic Penalty Tribunal for Northern Ireland, but I am not a solicitor or a barrister. Notwithstanding this, I voluntarily apply the cab rank rule. I am a member of the Society of Professional McKenzie Friends, my membership number is FM193 and I abide by the SPMF service standards.

I received the DVD and was confronted with the evidence that our vehicle entered the yellow box without a clear escape route and eventually was forced to stop partly withing the box. Paid the fine and we'll be more careful around those yellow boxes!

Thanks for all the helpful contributions on this chat.
