I was driving on Dunloe Street and crossed over Weymouth Terrace, which now has a traffic filter so cars are not allowed. The issue is it's not a straight cross over so I turned a bit onto Weymouth terrace to continue on Dunloe Street, as you can see in the video attached.

I noticed the sign but figured I wasn't going on that road as I was just trying to cross over to get to the school, probably should have known better especially as it's Hackney. I also saw two cars coming from the other side of Dunloe Street to my side so thought it was fine to cross over.

Any suggestions for what I can do? I have the photos/videos and PCN attached in the drive folder:

I have also shown on google maps the restricted road (with a red line) and the road I was driving on with a blue arrow.

Let me know if any further info is required, any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

You are unfortunately mistaken.
Did you not notice the No Right Turn and also the restriction signs, which with no times, apply 24x7 ? The restriction applies to Weymouth Terrace beyond those signs, and also the rest of Dunloe Street where you drove into.

I'm afraid the signage here is against you, so other than a "technical" appeal, based on council mismanagement of the enforcement process, (this includes PCN content), the contravention appears to be made out.

The one thing I notice is that the video doesn't show you passing the sign; it's black at that point.

I can't imagine how they will prove a contravention; unless this is the one time still pics outweigh the video.
It's the blue car, but it doesn't show the actual signs passed, only the signs for the other direction, so may submit reps on that basis.

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.

I saw cars parked on both sides of Weymouth Terrace and the black car coming from the opposite direction - from my side on Dunloe Street it doesn't say no left or right turn etc, I figured it was fine to just cross over as I wasn't staying on Weymouth
Are the cars parked on that road allowed to as they have a residents permit or something?
